What does the Ultimate Edition add?
Rockstar's media page names a '95 Grotti Cheetah and Hawk and Little Morgan revolvers as Ultimate Edition content, and describes the edition as an exclusive collection of items threaded across Jason and Lucia's story. Press coverage of Rockstar's reveal lists more:
- Exclusive outfits and tattoos for Lucia and Jason.
- A Dinka Enduro motorcycle and a Crest kayak as safehouse vehicles.
- A retro mod kit for the Vapid Ganado.
- Two custom shops, Rideout Customs and One-Eyed Willies, and a Classic Car Collection commission.
Coverage says the items arrive through chapters of the story, not all at once. Details beyond the Cheetah and revolvers come from press reports of Rockstar's announcement, so check the store listing before you buy.
Is the Ultimate Edition worth £20 more?
The extras are in-game items. If you care about cars, outfits and customisation from the start, Ultimate suits you. If you want only the game, the Standard Edition has the same story and map. Do not buy Ultimate for gameplay advantages you have not seen confirmed.
Can you upgrade later?
PC Gamer suggested the Ultimate upgrade may be sold separately after launch, but that is speculation. No upgrade price or date has been announced.
What about the Collector's Box?
Rockstar's page lists a Collector's Box called The Vice City Collection on the Rockstar Store. Contents and price were not stated on the page we checked. See the pre-order hub.
