Who is responsible
[Operator name and contact email] is the controller of personal data collected through this site.
What we collect
- Newsletter email address, when you subscribe to UK alerts, to send the alerts you asked for. Lawful basis: your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Server logs kept by our hosting provider, such as IP address and pages requested, for security and reliability.
- Cookies and similar technologies from third parties, described below.
Third parties
- Google Fonts loads fonts from Google's servers, which receive your IP address.
- YouTube (privacy-enhanced mode). Trailers load from youtube-nocookie.com only after you press play.
- Affiliate retailers. If you click a link to a retailer, it may set its own cookies to attribute a sale. See our affiliate disclosure.
- Advertising (Google AdSense). This site is set up to show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show and measure ads, including personalised ads where you consent. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services and manage your choices in Google Ad Settings. UK law requires your consent for non-essential advertising cookies, so we will show a consent choice once ads are live.
- Analytics: no analytics tool is installed at the time of writing.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to processing or withdraw consent. Contact us using the details on our contact page. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
How long we keep data
Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs follow the host's retention schedule.
