No PC version of GTA 6 has been announced. Rockstar's site lists only PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for 19 November 2026. Take-Two's CEO has called PC increasingly important but has not confirmed a version or date.
Key takeaways
- Official: PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only at launch.
- PC: not announced, no date.
- Take-Two CEO: says Rockstar often starts on some platforms then moves to others, but has not confirmed PC.
- GTA 5 precedent: reached PC roughly 18 months after consoles (an extrapolation, not an announcement).
Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
Rockstar's official page lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and does not mention PC. Reports describe the game as launching on those consoles, with no PC version at release.
What has Take-Two said about PC?
Strauss Zelnick has said Rockstar has "started with some platforms and then historically moved them to other platforms". At a shareholder meeting he called PC "more and more important" to the business, but stopped short of confirming a PC version or a date. He has also tied the console-first approach to serving the core audience.
How long did GTA 5 take to reach PC?
Grand Theft Auto V reached PC about 18 months after its console launch. A similar gap for GTA 6 would point to 2027 or 2028, but that is our extrapolation and Rockstar has said nothing of the kind.
PC rumours to ignore
- Early-2026 rumours traced to a hardware executive's earnings call remark. Take-Two and Rockstar have not confirmed anything.
- Any "PC system requirements" page, benchmark or download. No official requirements exist.
- Any site selling a PC key. See our scam warning.
What to do if you play on PC
- Do not pre-order a console version for PC use. Wait for an official announcement.
- Check Rockstar's official channels, which is where any PC announcement would appear first.
- Join our alerts to be told when status changes.
Cloud gaming and PC
Cloud services can sometimes bring console games to other devices, but none has announced GTA 6 support. Treat any such claim as a rumour until the platform and Rockstar confirm it.
